          Underwater Images transmission

          TRIDENT from Sercel is a string of four hydrophones that improves the high-data-rate communication in horizontal channels (shallow water) and in noisy environments. Trident manages the processing of multipath spreading for an improved signal-to-noise ratio. Signal-to-noise improvement: 6dB

          VITAC from Sercel  is a software module that improves and facilitates images transmission. Even if transmission errors occur, VITAC ensures that transmitted images can still be visualized. Typical compression rate: 20 (24-bit image).

          Underwater surveillance involves the monitoring and observation of sensitive sites, infrastructure with the aim of deploying the appropriate level of response to asset protection. Sercel participates in the design and manufacturing of undersea surveillance equipment.

            Surveillance allows with different levels of answers the protection of infrastructures and sensitive sites (submarine bases, ports, wind farms, submarine cables, shock point, border control). It prevent against the intrusion of unmanned underwater vehicles or enemy divers, who can threaten to these installations.

            The water column can be used to illegally transport goods or people. Surveillance can help fight against drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and other illegal activities.

            Surveillance can be undertaken with the installation of instrumented, connected stations. Information management is achieved via data recording or real-time transmission to detect and report any change of activity.

            Communications Underneath Ice with MATS 3G

            The objective was to send the vehicle under the ice on a 60km round trip to gather data.
            ISE installed two MATS 3G acoustic modems with which to monitor nupiri muka’s progress for the first few kilometers before running completely autonomously.

            Underwater Positioning and Navigation from MATS LT

            Our light and compact underwater acoustic modem, MATS LT, was recently used by Kopadia. MATS LT enabled Kopadia to design, in a record time, a fully integrated positioning and tracking solution for its AUV.
