WiNG DFU/FMB Maintenance

This training course provides the trainees with all information required to maintain DFU/FMB using the proper tools and technics. ESD precautions will be covered to ensure that the electronic boards are kept in good working condition during handling. The course includes an explanation of each board, the most common issues found when troubleshooting DFU/FMB, replacement of damaged mechanical parts and batteries and finally all the tests to perform (functional, waterproofness, etc). Upon completion of the course, the trainee will be able to setup a Maintenance Lab and understand and keep Sercel hardware in good working condition.

508XT Repair (FDU/DSU/CX/TFOI/Fiber)

This course provides the trainees with essential information required to properly handle 508XT field equipment and perform limited repairs. The course focuses on the use of proper maintenance and repair practices to keep Sercel hardware in good working condition. The course content covers usage of current Sercel methodologies. Recommended hardware and software tools are mentioned as well as Sercel Repair Live tool to send equipment for repair in our facilities. Upon completion of the course, the trainee will be capable of performing limited repairs and will be fully qualified to interact with Sercel's Service Center to handle warranty and non-warranty repairs. A 1.5-day soldering training will be also provided.

Sentinel Repair

This course can be scheduled as a basic repair course (7 days), as an overmolding course (3 days), or as a complete Sentinel repair course (10 days). The repair technician is instructed through demonstrations and hands-on repairs using sample pieces of Sentinel cable. The basic repair course consists of skin welding, hydrophone replacement, flex-end repair, cable core wire splicing, theory on practical troubleshooting and an introduction to the Seal Section Tester (SST). The overmolding course covers FDU and coil removal/replacement followed by overmolding with the Besco 2130S machine. The complete course covers all of the above processes.
